Using color to help organize information. Different colored
folders or binders may be used for different subjects. Also
different colored highlighters can be used to organize information
during note taking.
Checklists of things to do and items needed for school or
class
Flash cards
Teaching students to use flow charts or webbing to organize
their thoughts
Duplicated notes
High tech devices:
PDA (personal digital assistant) to help organize and keep
track of information
Writing Assistance: Including word processing,
grammar/spellcheckers, dictionaries, and thesaurus
programs
Software Programs that help with outlining or concept
mapping, such as Inspiration
Micro cassette Recorders (for person with visual memory
problems) to tape and review lectures
Reading software (as CAST eReader) for students with visual
